Uruguay’s presidential election is headed to a run-off following Sunday’s vote that put left-wing candidate Yamandú Orsi strongly in first place over his conservative rival, but short of an outright majority. Orsi, from the left-wing alliance Frente Amplio, received 43% and will face off against Álvaro Delgado from the ruling conservative party Partido Nacional, which received 27% of the vote.
