German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Wednesday outlined plans for formal talks with opposition parties and the country’s state governments, as the fallout from the deadly knife attack in the western city of Solingen continued. The talks are to focus on the deportation of migrants, the fight against Islamist terrorism and weapons law reform, Scholz said after a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Berlin.
