The former Catholic bishop in the western German city of Limburg, Franz Kamphaus, died on Monday morning, according to the diocese. He was 92 years old. Kamphaus was bishop of Limburg for almost 25 years before leaving the post in 2007 for reasons of age. He died at the St Vincenzstift Aulhausen, a home for people with physical and mental disabilities where he served as a priest after stepping down as bishop.
