Gillingham have launched a commemorative away kit as the 25th anniversary of a famous Wembley win approaches. The Gills have recreated the yellow strip worn by Peter Taylor’s side in their 3-2 Division 2 play-off final win over Wigan on May 28 2000. Steve Butler and Andy Thomson scored in the closing minutes of extra-time as Taylor’s side came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 and reach Division 1 – now the Championship – for the first time.
