Profit at US sportswear giant Nike increased in the fourth quarter year-on-year, the company reported on Thursday, beating analysts’ estimates. The company’s bottom line totalled $1.5 billion, or $0.99 per share. This compares with $1.03 billion, or $0.66 per share, in last year’s fourth quarter. Excluding items, Nike reported adjusted earnings of $1.01 per share for the period.
