Austrian customs officers at Vienna’s airport have found a total of €700,000 ($750,000) in cash in the luggage of two cousins travelling to Istanbul, the Finance Ministry reported on Sunday. An initial search revealed €320,000 in the hand luggage of one of the men. Asked whether they were carrying any more money, they said they were not. A further €380,000 was then found in their hold luggage, which had already been checked in. The two said they had planned to spend the money in Turkey.
