The number of unemployed in Germany fell in March compared to the previous month by 45,000 to 2.769 million, the Federal Labour Agency announced on Thursday. The unemployment rate was 6.0% compared to 6.1% in February. Compared to March of the previous year, however, there were 176,000 more people unemployed. “Unemployment and underemployment did fall in March, but less than usual this month.
