Having won the toss, Thoresby Colliery’s decision to bat first appeared a wise choice as they advanced to 85-2 thanks largely to 28 from Avindu Pathirana and opener Danny Tyson’s quickfire 19. But Pathirana’s dismissal by Max Shenton started a flurry of wickets as Thoresby then went from 100-3 to 139 all out in the 47th over.
