TRIBUTES have been paid to a long-serving, former West Berkshire councillor, Jeck Beck. Mr Beck, who stood down as Conservative district councillor for Clay Hill ward last May after 19 years’ service, was made an honorary alderman last July. He had served as district council chairman in 2014, as a committee chairman from 2007 to 2013, then again in 2015, and finally between 2019 and 2020. Mr Beck was made an Honorary Alderman in July 2023.
