Two GP practices are to merge to secure the long-term future of one as its senior doctor looks to retire. The Unity Healthcare practice in Haverhill will be merging with the Long Melford Practice from this Monday. The merger is taking place to secure the long-term future of Long Melford, whose senior GP Dr Christopher Browning is due to retire within the next couple of years. From Monday, both Long Melford and its branch surgery at Lavenham will become part of the same clinical team as Unity Healthcare.
