John O’Shea would no doubt have done Sir Alex Ferguson proud after the former Manchester United star took up his first managerial post on an interim basis. The 42-year-old Irishman came through Manchester United’s youth academy and enjoyed a successful period at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson. John O’Shea made 394 appearances for United’s first team and lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup and two League Cups. The ex-United player left Old Trafford in 2011 and went on to play for both Sunderland and Reading before calling it time on his playing career in 2019….
