Work on the Southern Link Road is progressing at pace and on schedule. Once complete the £100m link road project will connect the A1 to the A46 south of Newark via a 5km stretch of road and serve new housing and businesses in the area. Hawton Road, which has been closed to cars and pedestrians since February, is now due to partially reopen by Monday, with traffic management signals in place.
