Chelsea and Manchester United are both reportedly interested in signing Brentford’s Ivan Toney before the transfer window closes on Friday. Napoli’s Victor Osimhen did appear to be the former’s priority, but it has been claimed that Chelsea are now looking at alternatives to Osimhen. Toney seems to be one of them and the striker is available after entering the final year of his contract. He has missed all three of Brentford’s games this season so far, including their 1-0 win against Colchester United in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night.
