The latest figures show that overall crime in Norfolk has fallen by 11.6% – but knife offences and shoplifting are on the rise. The numbers, released by the Office of National Statistic (ONS) last week, show 59,471 crimes were recorded in Norfolk in the year ending March 2024, compared to 67,240 in the previous 12 months. Nationally, there was a smaller reduction in crime, with a 3.2.% decrease across England and Wales.
