Cambridge’s Big Wheel is about to start turning again over spring and summer. The 36m (118ft) tall observation wheel is under construction on Parker’s Piece. Run by City View Wheel Company, the wheel allows you to see for about four miles over Cambridge. The city council granted planning permission in 2022 for the observation wheel to be put up on Parker’s Piece for four years. It allows the company to begin setting up from March 22 and it must be taken down by September 1. It can be open to the public to ride from April 1 to August 31.
