Returning to Newcastle United hasn’t always gone well for former heroes. While Alan Shearer can hardly be blamed for the first relegation of the Mike Ashley, the fact is that Newcastle’s ultimate legend was the man on the touchline when they dropped into the Championship in 2009. Kevin Keegan, of course, had already been and gone for the second time by that point.
