A driver reversed through a barrier at the level crossing in Sawbridgeworth to evade an approaching train, causing disruption to rail services and road traffic. A Network Rail video of the incident, which happened at 6.07pm on Sunday (July 28), shows the driver of a black car appearing to ignore the flashing lights alerting them to the crossing in Station Road being closed and then slowly driving across the track.
