The Video Assistant Referee, VAR, did not cancel Tomas Soucek’s goal for West Ham against Arsenal on Thursday night despite the ball appearing to go out of play in the build-up. Soucek put the Hammers in front in the 13th minute from Jarrod Bowen. However, the goal was shrouded in controversy, as it was awarded following a long VAR check.
