Part of a busy motorway was closed due to a vehicle fire. Traffic was queueing from Junction 2 of the A228, Sundridge Hill, to Junction 1 of the A2 at Strood. The M2 London-bound shut while emergency crews dealt with the incident. Traffic has now been released and two lanes remain closed for recovery and clear-up.
