A Middlesex County man was arrested and charged with attempted murder in a stabbing from last weekend, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said Thursday. Thomas E. Carter, 61, of Highland Park was charged with attempted murder after authorities say he stabbed a New Brunswick man during an argument in the area of Hamilton Street in Franklin Township last Sunday.
