The number of criminal offences at German football matches in the top three divisions has risen by 12.2% last season and the number of injuries by 13.8%, according to a report by the central information point for sports operations (ZIS) of the police. The report for the 2023-24 season said that police investigated 7,351 offences and that 1,338 people were injured, including 306 police officers and 160 stewards.
