Local public transit workers in most of Germany will go on strike this Friday, the trade union Verdi announced on Monday. The strike is expected to impact local bus, tram and underground rail service in cities across Germany, with the exception of Bavaria. Verdi is currently in collective bargaining talks with transit leaders on behalf of about 90,000 workers at more than 130 municipal transit agencies across the country.
