The Marine Mammal Stranding Center released six seals into the ocean on Monday following evaluation and treatment. The grey seals were released back into the wild by members of the center’s staff near its headquarters in Brigantine. Five of the mammals had recently suffered injuries and illnesses and have made full recoveries, the stranding center said. The sixth seal was a female that was brought in for a 24-hour observation and was determined to be healthy.
