Algeria will present a draft resolution in the UN Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The council held an emergency meeting on Tuesday, following a deadly airstrike by Israel near Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday. The emergency meeting was requested by Algeria and supported by Slovenia.
