A large bush and forest fire broke out on Saturday in a densely wooded area around 20 kilometres north of the Greek capital Athens. According to the fire services, helicopters and fire-fighting aircraft as well as hundreds of firefighters are working to contain the flames. The fire follows a long period with little rain and several weeks with temperatures of over 35 degrees Celsius.
