The train drivers’ union (GDL) at Germany’s state-owned rail operator Deutsche Bahn has ended its multi-day strike affecting passenger transport services early, a spokesperson for the state-owned rail operator has said. A rail strike that crippled train transport in Germany for days began to ease on Sunday evening as normal freight services resumed ahead of schedule. In the early hours of Monday, a Deutsche Bahn spokesperson said that disruptions to passenger transport have also ended.
