Two men from Newbury have been charged with aggravated burglary after an incident in The Nightingales. Stephen Chandler, aged 50, and Anthony Abery, aged 44, both of Newtown Road, were charged with one count of aggravated burglary on Monday, February 26. The charges relate to an aggravated burglary at an address in The Nightingales at around 6.40am on Sunday. The occupant of the house was assaulted and was treated in hospital for head injuries.
