Summer has finally arrived with temperatures set to soar over the next couple of days. London is expected to record the highest temperature, reaching 32C (90F) on Tuesday, but Kent is only a couple of degrees behind. It may or may not be enough to class the weather officially as a heatwave – that happens only when an area records three consecutive days with temperatures over 28C in London, or over 25C elsewhere.
