European Union member states on Wednesday agreed to tighten restrictions on agricultural imports from Ukraine, following months of angry protests by EU farmers against what they say is unfair competition. According to diplomats, the new compromise stipulates that fewer goods than originally planned will be allowed to be sold duty-free into the EU.
