A 36-year-old woman has been charged with theft after five pairs of jeans were stolen from Poundland in Bishop’s Stortford. Julieta Sampala, from London, has been bailed to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday April 9. The theft happened at the store in Jackson Square shopping centre last Thursday (March 21) at around 2.40pm. Police said that a woman was detained by a police community support officer (PCSO) and then searched and arrested.
