A football club hosted its annual ladies’ tournament which brought 18 female teams together. Around 180 women celebrated the female game at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood premises. A high level of football was played with several Step Six teams attending, with Gainsborough Trinity being the winner of the tournament. One of the Newark Town Ladies teams finished second in the tournament, losing out by one goal to a top tier six team. The event received great feedback from the referees and visiting teams.
