EAST Garston enjoyed its annual village fete on Sunday (July 7), writes Freddie Tulloch Although dry while setting up, the forecast was pretty awful and there were even concerns whether the show should go ahead. But somehow, East Garston avoided the biblical storm that hit Newbury and although there was the odd spot of rain, the afternoon finished in glorious sunshine and with everyone in high spirits.
