By Annabal Bagdi Brits have been warned to watch out for “blood rain” which is set to hit the UK from this week due to a harsh Saharan dust coming over from Africa. Met Office forecaster, Marco Petagna, issued the alert in response to the plume which has been pushed over. The dust cloud is caused by gusts of wind which push up from tiny particles of sand. The process then triggers the unusual event which can leave a red tint on objects such as cars, and in some cases, it can create a spooky red hue in the sky.
