Britain’s Nathan Hales claimed men’s trap shooting gold with an Olympic record performance on Tuesday, after Serbia had rallied to air pistol mixed event gold. Last year’s world championship runner-up Hales hit 48 of the 50 moving clay pigeon targets at the Chateauroux shooting centre on his Olympic debut as he held off China’s Qi Ying who managed 44.
