Stansted windmill’s annual bank holiday fete saw hundreds of people descend on the village for a day of fun, inflatables and teddy parachute jumps. The popular attraction which sees children’s favourite toys winched to the top of the mill before parachuting down, once again drew in the crowds. As well as stalls, music and food set out around the base of the ancient monument, which was built in 1787, the Recreation Ground was also the setting for a great family day out.
