A well-known Digital Chat Station (DCS) insider shared some interesting details on Weibo about a new “compact flagship with a rectangular screen and camera focus”. Although the leaker did not name the phone model, the comments suggest that it is a basic version of the Vivo X200.
The leaked information suggests that the standard X200 will feature a primary camera with a 50-megapixel Sony sensor, as well as a mid-range 3x telephoto lens. It is expected that there will be one more lens in the camera configuration, but details about it are still unknown.
The leak also reveals details about the display, which will be a 1.5K panel from a Chinese manufacturer with thin bezels. However, the screen size and refresh rate are not mentioned.
The information from DCS matches previous rumors that the standard X200 will have a smaller flat screen than the expected curved display of the Pro version.
In addition, the device is rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 9400 processor, MediaTek’s upcoming flagship SoC with ARM’s latest Cortex-X925 cores. DCS also hints at a “large high-density silicon battery capacity,” but specific details about the capacity are not yet known.
The Vivo X200 Pro, in turn, is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel with curves on all four sides, 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner below the screen. It will be powered by the same Dimensity 9400 chip as the standard model.
On the camera side, the Vivo X200 Pro is expected to feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and a suite of BluePrint imaging technologies, including a BluePrint Imaging chip supporting True-TCG HDR technology, BluePrint Algorithm Matrix, and the first generation of BluePrint imaging chips.
The Vivo X200 series is expected to be launched in October. We will keep you updated with any new information as soon as it becomes available.
