At least 62 people have now died after severe storms hit large parts of Spain, the Spanish state broadcaster RTVE reported on Wednesday, citing the authorities. Media also reported the death of an 88-year-old woman in the city of Cuenca in the central Castilla-La-Mancha region. Dozens of people are also reported missing. Rescue workers struggled to reach the disaster-stricken areas due to flooded or blocked roads.
