A road has been blocked by up to 20 horses and trailers causing traffic chaos this afternoon. Heavy delays were reported in both directions as vehicles were forced to manoeuvre around the hazard at the junction of Station Road and Maidstone Road in Nettlestead, Maidstone. One motorist said: “Station Road is completely unpassable. Traffic is really slow both ways and even an ambulance was struggling to get through. “I couldn’t see an accident but there was just so many horses and trailers and cars blocking the road.” Police have been contacted for comment.
