A driver has been charged in a hit-and-run crash in Somerset County that caused the death of a 72-year-old pedestrian. A pickup truck hit the woman as she was crossing a street in Somerville shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release. The truck was traveling on Veteran’s Memorial Drive in Somerville and attempting to turn left onto Somerset Street when the crash occurred.
