Storms and heavy rain left hundreds of thousands of people in Lithuania and Latvia without electricity on Monday. Some 165,000 households in Lithuania were without electricity or suffering from interruptions, ESO energy supplier said. The entire country was affected, with the capital Vilnius and surrounding areas particularly hardly hit, according to the BNS news agency.
