Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Galant has assured the US that he and the military would prevent the resettlement of the Gaza Strip by Israelis, according to a media report on Monday. The news portal Axios reported, citing US and Israeli officials, that Galant said in talks with US officials last week that a planned buffer zone in the Gaza Strip would be of a temporary nature and only serve security purposes.
