The much-loved actor fronted the BBC detective drama based in Saint Marie for several series, where he faced a number of guest stars and criminals. His first episode on Death In Paradise was when he arrived as Humphrey Goodman to investigate the death of former detective DI Richard Poole, played by Ben Miller.
