New York Mets pitcher Jorge Lopez threw his glove into the stands in frustration as he left the field following an ejection Wednesday. The strange sequence occurred in the top of the eighth inning of a matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Third base umpire Ramon De Jesus was seen shouting in the direction of Lopez before throwing him from the contest. It wasn’t exactly clear what Lopez said or did to warrant the reaction from the umpire. The pitcher yelled a few words in the umpire’s direction as he walked off the field, taking his glove off and tossing it over the netting and into the crowd….
