A pensioner has died following a single-car collision which saw a road closed for more than five hours yesterday. Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance were called to the incident on the A1066 at Shadwell, between Diss and Thetford, at 11.41am, where a silver Honda CR-V left the road and went into a ditch. The road was closed in both directions whilst emergency services attended the scene, which included the fire service using hydraulic rescue equipment to release the occupants of the car.
