The case of an Italian woman imprisoned in Hungary for allegedly attacking right-wing extremist demonstrators is increasingly becoming a thorn in the relationship between the two EU partner states. Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani demanded on Tuesday that the government in Budapest allow the 39-year-old teacher to leave the country. He also summoned the Hungarian ambassador in Rome.
