A massive emergency service response has blocked a main route following a crash. About eight police cars a fire engine and air ambulance helicopter were scrambled to Sandgate Esplanade near Folkestone at about 7.15pm. Traffic is being forced to turn in both directions to enable emergency crews to work. Dozens of people could be seen watching the events unfold as police prevent people from using the pavement from the esplanade towards Princes Parade, Hythe.
