The Carabao Cup is set to introduce changes to the competition from next season. A seeding system is expected to come into place, in what is a direct reply to controversial changes made to the Champions League and the FA Cup. The alterations will see clubs in European competitions given ranks and kept apart in the early rounds. That means fixtures between the big clubs could be very limited in the early rounds.
