An NFL spokesman just gave a new update on Rashee Rice’s status ahead of the start of the regular season. Brian McCarthy recently said on a conference call that the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver isn’t expected to be placed on the Commissioner Exempt list despite his arrest in April. “We don’t anticipate he’ll be placed on commissioner’s exempt unless there is a material change in the case,” McCarthy said, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
