Marcel Schäfer is leaving VfL Wolfsburg to join RB Leipzig as their new managing director for sport, both Bundesliga clubs said on Sunday. Schäfer signed a contract until 2028 and will replace Max Eberl, who is now board member for sport at Bayern Munich. Leipzig reportedly paid Wolfsburg a transfer fee of around €2 million ($2.14 million).
