Newcastle United got back to winning ways in the Premier League at Aston Villa’s expense, much to the delight of Toon legend Alan Shearer. The Magpies had lost four games in a row in the league, while they went to Villa Park with a rotten away record. Until their win on Tuesday night, Newcastle’s only away win in the Premier League was the 8-0 drubbing of Sheffield United.
